Post-Lipo Care
Post-liposuction recovery is a critical phase that directly impacts final results. Swelling, fluid retention, and early scar-tissue formation (fibrosis) can begin quickly if not addressed properly. Timely, appropriate post-operative treatments help reduce edema, prevent lumps and irregularities, soften scar tissue, and support faster, smoother healing.

Best Treatments for Post-Lipo Recovery
Manual Lymphatic Drainage
Manual lymphatic drainage is recommended for clients who are freshly out of surgery, especially in the first days following the procedure. It gently supports fluid movement, reduces discomfort, and helps manage early swelling when the tissue is still very sensitive. This is often the best starting point before introducing mechanical treatments.
Red Light (LED) Therapy
Red light therapy can be safely started just a few days after surgery. It accelerates healing by reducing inflammation, supporting cellular repair, and promoting tissue regeneration. LED therapy is an excellent complementary treatment throughout the recovery process.
Icoone
Icoone is our first choice for post-lipo recovery due to its gentle and customizable technology. Intensity can be precisely adjusted based on sensitivity and healing stage, making it suitable for early recovery. Icoone works within the connective tissue to reduce swelling, stimulate lymphatic drainage, and help prevent early scar-tissue formation without overwhelming post-surgical tissue.
Endermologie Infinity
The newest generation of Endermologie helps reduce edema, improve circulation, soften developing fibrosis, and smooth contour irregularities. It supports ongoing recovery and scar-tissue management as healing progresses.
When to Start Post-Lipo Treatments
• Manual lymphatic drainage and LED therapy: as early as a few days post-op, with surgeon clearance
• Mechanical treatments (Icoone / Endermologie): as early as 10 days post-op
• Ideal window: 2–3 weeks post-op
• Strongly recommended before week 4, as scar tissue and lumps commonly begin forming around weeks 3–4
Recommended Plan
2–3 sessions per week × 10–20 sessions Maintenance may be recommended for clients prone to swelling or fibrosis
